I'm trying to think of which '50s/'60s baseball player would have the best comic book civilian-identity name, and I've narrowed it down to either Duke Snider or Ferris Fain.
Aftermath: The mobster was released when it was discovered that Batboy's web-bat was corked. Batboy's corpse was found a week later in a ditch fourteen miles outside Gotham City. The mobster was charged with his murder, but rumors persisted for years that Robin killed the usurper using a regular bat-bat.
