Oh lord, I had Repto. He was awesome. His glowing brain disappeared fairly quickly, but you could stick other stuff in his brain-pan so that was cool.
I remember the ads, but never saw one in person. They were certainly coveted in my circle of kids. I'm pretty sure Repto could've kicked Minuteman's @ss.
I always wanted either Repto or Antron, because it was hard to find action figures with wings and extra arms. But the store only ever had Membros, so he was the one I wound up with. Besides not having hands, the connectors for his weapons were easy to lose, making him one of my shortest-lived childhood action figures (Star Wars: Droid Factory R2-D2 being the first)
